Head Coach

Chris Allen

Chris Allen played varsity baseball for Edison High School in 1981-82.  He was a catcher and batted 400+ both seasons, leading to 1st team, all Gunston District and 2nd team all Northern Region honors in 1982.  Chris is also an American Legion baseball Alumni, having played for Post 162 where he was among the league leaders in Home runs his final season of 1982.  After failed attempts to walk on at Ferrum Jr. College and George Mason, Chris began a long career playing slow pitch softball, organizing and managing several teams over the years.  This also included multiple years coaching Special Olympians, once taking a group of special athletes to the Virginia State Special Olympics in Richmond where they finished as runner up!  Since his son Jake began playing baseball at age 5, Chris again coached and managed several teams that his son played on.  He is cherishing this one final opportunity to coach his son before he leaves to play college baseball this fall.  Hopefully Jake enjoys more success at the college level than his old man!
