Ashburn Legion Post 2001 Knights enjoyed a successful 2016 season, going 13-1 in District 15/16 play, winning the District Tournament and going 2 wins and 2 losses at the Virginia State Legion Tournament in Danville Va. The Tournament Host, Danville Post 325, won the State Tournament going 3-1 and played in the Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament at Fireman’s Field, Purcellville, Va.

Knights Coach Bob Hough led a strong group of disciplined young men from Briar Woods, Stone Bridge and Freedom High Schools.

Leesburg Post 34 Rangers, waltzed into the Regional Tournament as the host team, won the Regional Tournament in a dramatic comeback win over Flemington, NJ, 4-3. The Leesburg Rangers are going to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC. Way to go Rangers.
