Post 2001 – Veterans’ Day Poppy Distribution (4 and 5 November)

Legionnaires,

Larry Rosenberger sends:

Every year around Veterans’ Day, the American Legion distributes poppies in remembrance of our fallen comrades-in-arms. If you can join our effort this November, you will be part of this tradition and help remember the sacrifices of our comrades.

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to support this event.

See the attached a copy of the roster of those who already volunteered for distributing poppies next weekend (4 and 5 November) and also the vacant shifts. Even if you can only work part of a shift, we need your assistance.

Anyone wanting to volunteer can call Larry Rosenberger.

Veterans Day Poppy Volunteers

Comrade Legionnaires of Post 2001,

The annual Veterans Day weekend Poppy Distribution is on Friday, Nov. 4 & Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Giant Food Store in Ashburn Village.

Please see the attached sign-up sheet for the 3 or 3 1/2 hour shifts available for you to pick from to volunteer on this 2-day event.

We really need at least two Legionnaires for each shift.  Three Legionnaires are preferred and as always the more the merrier.  If you have never participated in the poppy distribution event, give it a try, you may enjoy it.  I think that those that participated in the past have enjoyed the event.  I certainly do.

Please look over the sign-up sheet and if you would like to volunteer for any shift contact me.  If you cannot work a full shift, no problem.  Any amount of time that you can volunteer is helpful and appreciated.

See You At The Poppy Distribution.

Larry Rosenberger
