Ladies and gentlemen of the Leonard W. Kidd Memorial American Legion Post 2001,
I am filled with profound gratitude and humility. It has been an incredible honor and privilege to serve as your commander for the past five years. As my tenure comes to a close, I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, dedication, and commitment to our post and its mission.
First and foremost, I want to thank our members for your steadfast loyalty and participation in our activities and initiatives. Your willingness to serve our community and support our veterans exemplifies the true spirit of camaraderie and service that defines the American Legion. Whether it was organizing events, volunteering your time, or advocating for veterans’ rights, your contributions have made a lasting impact on our post and the lives of those we serve.
I also want to express my gratitude to our executive committee members, and volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of our post. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in achieving our goals and advancing our mission. From planning fundraisers to coordinating outreach programs, your efforts have strengthened our post and enriched the lives of our fellow veterans.
Lastly, I want to thank our community partners, supporters, and sponsors for their generous contributions and unwavering support. Their support has enabled us to fulfill our mission and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans and their families.
As I step down from my role as commander, I do so with a deep sense of pride and gratitude for the opportunity to serve alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals. While my time as commander may be coming to an end, I am confident that our post will continue to thrive under the capable leadership of our incoming commander and executive committee.
In closing, I want to express my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you for your service, sacrifice, and commitment to our post and its mission. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your commander, and I look forward to continuing to support our post and its members in the years to come.
