American Legion District 16 Baseball Tournament Update 2

Be advised, Warrenton Post has forfeited today’s 4 pm game, so Leesburg faces off against Winchester at 7pm at Stone Bridge HS. We face the game winner at noon tomorrow.

We won league play and really want to win the District Championship so come out and root us on. Heat warning is in play so keeping hydrated is essential.

The other good news is that we have qualified for the VA Legion State Finals next week in Danville Va. Top two teams out of 8 teams advance to State. (26 – 30 July)

State winner advances to Regional Tournament at Fireman’s Field during 3-7 August. ( 6 state champions playing)

Regional winners advance to the Legion World Series in Shelby, NC during 10-14 August.

Exciting times for our team, families, and Legion.

Be advised we invested money for Concessions at tonight and tomorrows’ game. “Be there or be square”

Let’s win this for Charlie and the Post!!!

American Legion District 16 Baseball Tournament Update

Tonight, your Ashburn Knights baseball team beat Winchester Post 21 team 1-0 at Fireman’s Field. This was a most exciting and competitive game.

Kudos to our players and coaches for playing great baseball.

Ashburn Post 2001 is now the host for remaining tournament games scheduled to be played Friday, 22 July, 4pm and 7pm at Stone Bridge HS.

We will play the winner of Friday’s 7pm game at noon on Saturday 23 July, at Stone Bridge High School. We plan to have an opening ceremony on Saturday.

We will also have Concessions open for both Friday and Saturday games (dogs, burgers, brats etc).

Hope many of you can get out to the game.
