‘Tis the Season of Joyous Festivities

At American Legion, we represent and support a diverse audience of military Veterans from all walks of life, cultures, and identities. We stand under the banner of Americanism – expressing patriotism and nostalgia for an ideal that many generations have fought for and/or protected. When we enter into this festive season, we embrace those comfortable traditions that make this continent our unified home.

Whether you raise a toast to religious celebrations or bask in the warmth of blaring sports commentators, may you find peace and positivity in this final stretch of 2021.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance 2021

Original article from National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2021 – Military Connection

80 years ago, just before 8:00 AM on Sunday, December 7th, a mass of Japanese planes began a surprise bombing raid on Pearl Harbor that would destroy or damage 20 American naval vessels and over 300 aircraft.

2,403 Americans – including Navy personnel, Marines, Army members, and civilians – lost their lives as a result of the attack. The USS Arizona was hardest hit, with nearly half the total loss of life coming from service members aboard this vessel, specifically.
