BASEBALL:

Our Legion baseball team has its first home game today (Saturday 10 June) at Stone Bridge High School at 11:00 am, with a second game today at 1:30 pm.

The schedule for the next week is:

10 June Double Header at Stone Bridge High School 11:00 am (home opener!) and 1:30 pm against Stafford Post 290

14 June Away game at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal 7:00 pm against Front Royal Post 53

15 June Away game in Purcellville at Fireman’s Field 7:00 pm against Leesburg Post 34

JOB FAIR:

10th Congressional District Veterans Jobs Fair that will take place on June 12th from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Loudoun County Public School Administration Building located at 21000 Education Court, Ashburn, Virginia 20148.  Veterans, transitioning military, and military dependent jobseekers need to bring proof of service (DD 214/Veteran ID/Military ID/Dependent ID) in order to participate in the 10th Congressional District Veterans Jobs Fair.

Resumes are strongly recommended and we will have organizations that will be able to help with the resume drafting process on site.

VIRGINIA PRIMARY:

13 June Primaries – Governor, Lt. Governor, House of Delegates, and Local offices.  Get out and vote!

Post 2001 – Get Out the Vote – Virginia Primary Elections 13 June

Legionnaires of Post 2001,

The Commonwealth of Virginia will be holding Primary Elections on Virginia Governor on June 13, 2017. Virginia uses an open primary system which means a voter can cast a ballot in either parties primary but not both.

There are currently 2 Democratic Candidates for Governor and 3 Republican Candidates.

The General Elections will be held on November 7, 2017.
