Post 2001 – Event at Lorton Post to Donate Vehicle to Wounded Vet

This Saturday 21 January at the Lorton American Legion Post, local benefactor and friend of Post 2001 Dr. Ike Lans will donate an ultra terrain vehicle to a severely wounded veteran.

This brings to a close a long running project supported by our Post 2001, as well as Post 162 in Lorton, that has involved many hours from our dedicated Legionnaires coordinating this generous donation.

Post 2001 Meeting Thursday 1930 – NEW LOCATION

Effective with this week’s meeting (12 January 2017), we will be meeting in the newly renovated Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (AVFRD) station. AVFRD is offering the meeting space at no cost to the Post. The address is: 20688 Ashburn Rd, Ashburn, VA 20147

This month we will use the meeting rooms on third floor in the main building. The entrance is at the base of what looks like the “clock tower” section to the left of the fire truck bays as you look at the building.

It’s OK to park in any of the unmarked spaces on what we would call the side of the fire station ( where you turn into the main lot off Ashburn Road).

See you Thursday 12 January at 7:30 pm at our new location.
