American Legion Participate in Loudoun County Service Academy Day

American Legion Post 2001 Participates in Loudoun County Service Academy Day on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Loudoun County Public School Administration Building.  Service Academy Day was started by Congresswoman Barbara Comstock and Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton continues the tradition by hosting the annual event.

Several members from each Military Service Academy including Merchant’s Marine Academy, the Citidel, and VMI attended the event.

Post 2001 – Memorial Day 2019 Poppy Distribution

Fellow Legion members –

Post 2001 will conduct our annual poppy distribution event for Memorial Day on May 24 and 25, at the Giant Food Store, 44110 Ashburn Village Boulevard in Ashburn.

If you are available to volunteer, please let me know so I can add you to the schedule.  We re still short in certain shifts and could use a few additional volunteers.

If you have Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, American Heritage Girls or other youth organizations who would like to participate, please let me know.

I will provide a summary of the effort the monthly meeting on Thursday.
