Dress is business casual. \nWe have sponsors who said they pre-filed drafts to get bills\, which is huge. Now I need cosponsors so we can make these things law\, and try to make sure they don’t get held up in committee. \nWe aim for at least 25 Senators to co-sponsor each bill (particularly veteran data plus Court committee members on the veteran data bill) and at least 55 Delegate support. \nThe below table lists the JLC initiative\, the veteran service organization sponsoring it and the person responsible for it\, followed by the name of the Delegate and Senator who has agreed to sponsor it and file a draft by the pre-filing deadline in November 2024. \n\nJLC 2025-01 Verification of Veteran Status- Arrest\, Jails The American Legion/ National Vet Court Alliance Inc. Jan. 9th 1:00pm\, \nVirtual Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education Training. \nRegister Here \nDetails\nOverdoses can happen in unexpected situations: a social gathering\, a school event\, with a friend or family\, or other community event. You may not know that someone is at risk of overdose: stigma prevents many who use drugs from telling others.  Do you know how to help someone who has overdosed on opioids? \nThe Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board is offering a free online class that will provide the knowledge and confidence you need to potentially save a life during an opioid overdose emergency. Support for this program is from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services. \nDuring this 60-minute virtual class you will learn: \n• How to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose. \n• How to administer Narcan nasal spray to potentially reverse the effects of an \nopioid overdose. \n• Other knowledge needed to fully respond to an opioid overdose emergency (what to do and not do). \nRegistration will be confirmed via an email\, which will contain course log-in instructions for Zoom\, how to obtain your REVIVE Kit (2 CPR mouth barriers\, vinyl gloves\, instruction card) and Naloxone. \nUpon completion of the virtual training\, only Fairfax County and Cities of Falls Church/Fairfax residents can receive the Revive Kit and/or no-cost Naloxone.  If you would like more information on how to obtain Naloxone in your region\, or outside the Fairfax-Falls Church area\, please contact the Wellness\, Health Promotion & Prevention Team at CSBRevive@fairfaxcounty.gov. \nShare this:\n				Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n				Facebook\n			\n				Share on X (Opens in new window)\n				X\n			\n				Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n				LinkedIn\n			\n				Print (Opens in new window)\n				Print
