SUMMARY:The Family One 5th Annual Family Festival
DESCRIPTION:100WomenStrong would like to invite Post 2001 members and their families to their 5th Annual Family Festival on August 23rd at the Douglass Community Center at 407 E Market St Leesburg\, VA from 1pm-9pm. Post 2001 was awarded a $10\,500 grant this year from 100WomenStrong. The grant will go a long way to helping Veterans in our community.\n\nThis fifth annual event brings together families from across Loudoun for a day of fun and learning. There will be a variety of activities\, including games\, a scavenger hunt\, food trucks\, and panels featuring community partners on topics such as wellness\, mental health\, and financial literacy. \nThe Family One is a youth-oriented organization\, founded in 2021. Among other things\, they host a Father’s Day basketball game at Douglass Community Center\, offer arts and short film workshops\, and have been involved in Freedom High School’s Leadership Academy. However\, the heart of their mission is mentoring Loudoun’s youth. Everything they do has the goal of pairing youth with adults who can teach them both hard and soft skills for navigating life’s challenges and joys.
