If you would like to join Post 2001 you can join in 4 easy steps. New members and transfer members follow the same steps except for the application that gets filled out.
Step 1: Attend our monthly meeting. Our meetings are held at Ashburn Volunteer Fire Dept the second Thursday of every month from 1900 – 2000.
Step 2: Provide a copy of our DD214 or Veteran ID card to the adjutant at the meeting. The adjutant will have you fill out a new member or a transfer member application.
Step 3: Post 2001 members in attendance will vote you into the Post.
Step 4: If voted in, provide completed application and $50 annual membership fee to the adjutant.

If you have served federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and have been honorably discharged or are still serving – you are eligible for membership in The American Legion!
*Because eligibility dates remain open, all active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the government of the United States.
**U.S. Merchant Marine eligible only from December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (WWII).
