Post 2001 – New Post Commander, Revised Minutes, Next Mtg 13 Oct

This is to announce the installation of our new Post Commander, Chuck Loomis.

The Executive Committee of Leonard W. Kidd Memorial Post 2001, Ashburn, Virginia, met on 26 September 2016 to address the vacancy left by the passing of Charlie McKinney.
The Post Executive Committee, in accordance with Article 4 of the Post By-Laws, installed Comrade Charles “Chuck” Loomis (American Legion membership number 203165689 and a member in good standing) as the Post Commander. Comrade Loomis assumes the position as Commander effective 26 September 2016 and will serve until the next regularly scheduled annual elections.

Additionally, Commander Loomis has appointed Bob O’Such as First Vice Commander (previously serving as Second Vice Commander), and Joe Scalione as Second Vice Commander. They will both serve until the next regularly scheduled annual elections.

I am also attaching the revised minutes from the 8 September 2016 meeting – thanks to all who submitted revisions.

REMINDER – Our next meeting will be at 1930 hours, 13 October, at the Mills Recreation Center, 43895 Grottoes Drive, Ashburn, Virginia.
